Serge contacted J&J Studios with his plans of proposing to his long-time girlfriend Nolana. Without any hesitation, our team could not wait to document this special day for the couple. Below, I will tell you about the location, give you the details on the Longwood Gardens proposal, and share with you the gorgeous photos that we took.

The Proposal

While Serge and Nolana were walking around enjoying the beautiful flowers at Longwood Gardens, our crew was in place and ready for action. We were waiting for the special moment, so that we could begin the proposal photo shoot. Once we seen Serge get down on one knee, we knew it was time. At first, Nolana seemed confused about what was happening, but her facial expressions quickly turned from shocked to happy. Our photographers could tell that she was blown away and was immediately filled with happiness and excitement about Serge’s proposal. After she said yes, Serge could not stop smiling! The pure bliss on this couple’s faces was priceless, and we are so glad that we were able to capture this important moment for them. Congratulations Nolana and Serge; we look forward to seeing what the future holds for you two!

About the History of Longwood Gardens

Longwood Gardens is a huge botanical garden located outside of Philadelphia. It consists of over 1,000 acres of plants, gardens, meadows, woodland, and water fountains. Although spring is one of J&J Studios’ favorite times to shoot photos at this location, it is truly incredible all year long.

To our surprise, Longwood Gardens is surrounded by a lot of interesting history. By constantly traveling to the Gardens and taking photos of our clients, we learned that the native Lenni Lape tribe used to fish in the streams, hunt throughout the forests, and even planted the fields that we walk on. In fact, the workers at the facility have found really neat quartz spear points around the gardens over the years. As photographers who are visual artists, we enjoy imagining what the property once looked like and sometimes share what we have learned with our clients, who also find it fascinating to think about.
