We’ve done the top 20 before, so without further adieu, let’s list off the top 26 beautiful Philadelphia engagement locations. These places all have their particular merits for Philadelphia engagement sessions, so they’re in no particular order.
Philadelphia Magic Gardens is a beautiful, colorful area to take engagement pictures. They do allow professional pictures, but you must buy timed tickets so it must be done in advance. Tickets are $10 for adults.
Wissahickon Valley Park is a huge 1800 acre gorge with forest, meadows and the beautiful waters of Wissahickon Creek. It’s free and open to the public daily.
Free and open to the public, Philadelphia City Hall is the iconic, Philly Classic for engagement photography. Notable spots include the wrought iron gates, broad street line glass enclosure, and the infamous “Broad Street Bride” shot.
Larger than life, this huge area includes outdoor gardens, grand fountains, a lake, a greenhouse, meadows and wooded areas. The ultimate nature lovers spot. Tickets are $25 per person.
Another iconic Philly classic, Rittenhouse Square is free to the public and looks good whether during the day or night.
A beautiful community area featuring fishing, boating, lawns, dog park, woods, and the lovely Lake Luxembourg.
Do you know all the words to the Phantom of the Opera? Sing along during Les Miserables? Break into spontaneous Lion King Classics? This might be the spot for you. Plus, its right next to City Hall so we could easily hop over there for some additional pictures.
If holiday-themed sparkling thousands of Christmas tree lights is your thing, this is the spot.
9. Valley Creek Trail
This is part of the Valley Forge National Park system, but is a particularly nice spot because it contains a waterfall. If woods, water and nature is your thing, this is it. It is located just 20 minutes from the convenient Yellow Springs Trail Parking Lot.
10. Philadelphia Museum of Art
Of course, an iconic Philly staple such as the PMOA definitely makes the list. The grounds are just as nice as the museum itself, which makes it a treasure trove for engagement sessions.
Rockland Park features a 19th century mansion, with gorgeous stone walls, home of Greenery Caterers. The grounds are well maintained with walled gardens, and verdant open areas. Able to hose on site weddings.
Hosts the iconic LOVE statue and fountains during the summer. Looks particularly beautiful at night.
If your iconic proposal deserves the iconic Philly skyline, this is the spot. Also convenient to the Schuylkill River Trail which makes for some additional beautiful engagement photos.

16. Downtown Phoenixville
A gorgeous landmark in Fairmount Park containing a greenhouse, fountains, landscaped grounds, and a reflecting pool.
Gorgeous grounds, beautiful ballroom, a carousel, amazing building (formerly the National Academy of Sciences).
Gorgeous nature preserve with huge Tinicum Marsh; great for bird watchers.
20. Hunting Hill Mansion (Ridley Creek State Park)
Beautiful 2600 acre state park with gardens, the mansion, grand stair, and the reflecting pond.
21. Kelly Drive
Picturesque areas adjacent to the Schuykill River, various garden areas, bridges.
Sweeping skyline, gorgeous views, green spaces.
Epic, historic building, also directly adjacent to Logan Square, a perfect one, two combination for engagement photos.

Ok, we know, this is not technically Philadelphia, but a stone’s throw away in New Hope, PA. Such a unique engagement idea, we had to include it.
Another Philly classic that overlooks the Delaware River and Camden Waterfront. The big draw is, of course, the Ben Franklin Bridge which looms in the background.

Located inside the Bellevue Hotel, XIX has sweeping views of the city via a grand balcony. The large pearl chandelier in the main dining area is particularly nice for pictures.
