Appleford Estate Wedding: Mary Jane & John

On a warm summer day, J&J Studios was given the opportunity to photograph a gorgeous Appleford Estate Wedding. It was our first time at this beautiful venue, but we hope that it will not be our last. Everything turned out perfect, and we cannot wait to share with you the photos below, tell you all about the venue, and go over the details of this wedding.

Bride Getting Ready for Her Special Day
The bride set aside plenty of time before the wedding ceremony to get ready and ensure that everything was perfect. As she got ready, she thought about her future and the journey she was about to embark on with John. She could not wait to see him dressed up and declare to spend the rest of her life with him. Mary Jane was very happy that this day had finally arrived, and she was excited to celebrate with their loved ones at the Appleford Estate Wedding venue. She got her hair and make up done, put on her dress and shoes, and pumped herself up for the very special event that was to come.

Groom Getting Ready for The Big Day
The groom began getting ready in another room. While he was preparing for the big day, his father came in to help him put on his bowtie and suit jacket. It was a special moment shared between the father and son, and J&J Studios was able to capture it for them to look back on forever. John was thrilled to have made it to his wedding day and was so glad that it was Mary Jane that he would be vowing to spend the rest of his life with. He was anxious to see her dressed up and could not wait to be reunited again for their big day.
As he got ready, he thought about all the memories that they have shared together and how he is excited to make many more memories with her in the future. He could not have asked for a better partner to go through life’s ups and downs with.

Bride and Groom’s First Look
The bride and groom scheduled a first look because they wanted to treasure this moment and reaction forever. Mary Jane made her way to John, and he knew she was right behind him even though he could not look back yet. The anticipation was at an all time high as the couple was about to look into their future within seconds. They knew that when they seen each other they would be looking at their husband-to-be and wife-to-be, which was very exciting for these two.
J&J Studios highly recommends making time for a first look on your wedding day because these photos turn out to be our clients’ favorite photos and the reactions are authentic and priceless. John thought Mary Jane looked stunning, while she thought he looked very handsome. They both were beaming with happiness, and our photographers are so glad that we were able to document this special moment for them.

The Newly Weds: John & Mary Jane
John and Mary Jane’s love story is so refreshing. Mary Jane was friends with John’s sister growing up, and the two went to high school together. Therefore, she and John would pass each other in the hallways, and John would see them hanging out often. Although Mary Jane and his sister went their separate ways and lost contact after a few years, he and Mary Jane reconnected one day when they ran into each other in a grocery store. They exchanged phone numbers to catch up and have been inseparable since.
Mary Jane still thinks back to all those memories in high school and finds it amazing that she met her soulmate in high school and didn’t even have a clue. Now, these lovebirds are happy, in love, and are so grateful that they both decided to go to the same grocery store that day. Congratulations to Mary Jane and John on your recent wedding day! We are so happy for you guys and cannot wait to see what’s next!
The Proposal
John asked Mary Jane to marry him on Race Street Pier. He knew that she was the one for some time, and he knew there was only one thing left to do to seal the deal. So, one day when they were on Race Street Pier, he got down on his knee and asked her to spend her life with him. Excitingly, she said yes, and the rest is history. They immediately began planning their incredible wedding and have been met with nothing but support, love, and happiness from their family, friends, and loved ones.
To see Mary Jane and John’s engagement photos from their session last year, take a look at our article by clicking here. The session took place on the Race Street Pier, where John proposed. This pier is located south of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge on the Delaware River waterfront, slightly north of the Cherry Street Pier. By visiting this location, you will catch rare glimpses of the charming river, the bridge, and the magical center city skyline all at the same time. Their engagement photos were fantastic, and you will not be disappointed by taking a quick peek.

The Appleford Estate Wedding Ceremony
Mary Jane and John were in search of the perfect wedding venue that represented their relationship, love, and styles. They came across the Appleford Estate and were instantly blown away by the beauty that this location offers. It is surrounded by 24 acres of incredible landscapes, architecture, and history dating back more than 300 years ago. When you walk the grounds of the Appleford Estate, you will notice the beautiful trees, amazing gardens, charming stone walls, and the blue water streams.
One word to describe Mary Jane and John’s wedding is EPIC! This wedding was breathtaking, and everything turned out to be impressive. Laughs, smiles, tears, and joy were all shared during the ceremony. The group cheered and gushed with happiness for the newly weds. They said their vows, exchanged rings, and made it official with a kiss. Then, they proudly walked down the aisle hand-in-hand as husband and wife. Afterward, everyone made their way to the reception area. The guests were ready to celebrate, dance, and enjoy some good food and cold drinks.

The Appleford Estate Wedding Reception
The reception was a true celebration! The bride and groom entered the room, and everyone clapped while they danced. The guests began joining in and boogied until the sun went down. Each person who attended John and Mary Jane’s wedding looked like they were having a blast, and the newly weds were very pleased with how everything turned out. Their vendors were very helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The food was delicious, the drinks were ice cold, and the music was wonderful!
