Ballroom at Ellis Preserve photographer J&J Studios

Phil and Jessica were in search of a Ballroom at Ellis Preserve wedding photographer when they came across our company’s website. After discussing, they hired our crew at J&J Studios for their big wedding day. The special day took place on a warm June afternoon, and our team enjoyed it immensely. Below, I will share some of the captured photos, give you a brief background on the couple, and tell you about their wedding day. Time to Get Ready for the Big Day

Phil and Jessica began the day by getting ready at the Desmond Hotel in Malvern, Pennsylvania. This hotel was very nice and accommodating to the couple. Our lead wedding photographer, John Ryan and his assistants, arrived and began photographing the couple getting ready separately. This was a fun way to start the day, as the couple got ready with their friends and families and even exchanged letters to each other. Everyone was so excited and could not wait to watch the couple say, “I do.” Watching them read their letters was a sentimental moment, which they both will probably remember for the rest of their lives. Meet the Newlyweds: Phil and Jessica

This couple has been together for almost nine years. They are very fun and passionate about each other. While working with the couple, we found out a lot about them and would be glad to share the details with you. Jessica and Phil met through a mutual friend who tried unsuccessfully many different times to set them up over the years, but it never worked. However, they had a random encounter on Halloween night in 2012, and the rest is history. They decided that their timing was perfect, and they exchanged phone numbers.

The Proposal

Our team pried a little and found out how Phil proposed. We know our readers love reading about proposals, so we made sure to get the scoop. Food is this couple’s love language, so it makes sense that the proposal would involve food. Phil’s idea was to include a delicious, lavish dinner cooked by a professional into the proposal. He decided to be smart about it though, as he knew that Jessica would suspect and know something was up if a chef showed up unplanned. So, he had someone suggest to both of them to hire a private chef to cook for everyone over the holidays. By involving Jess, it made things run smoother because she wouldn’t suspect anything and could choose her own menu.

After the chef arrived, Phil brought over his and Jessica’s dog, who was wearing a red bandanna with words around its neck. Jessica tried to remove it when Phil asked her to read what the bandanna said. It read, “Will you marry my dad?” Once Jessica read it, Phil got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Jessica said it was the easiest yes ever, as they have been dating for what felt like forever. Neither one of them ended up eating the amazing meal that was cooked for them. Instead, they went to a surprise engagement party, which Phil planned with their closest friends and families. This party took place at a local bar and was described as perfect. The Marriage Ceremony at The Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul

The marriage ceremony turned out to be beautiful. It took place at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, which is a Catholic cathedral located on Race Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Phil and Jessica were pleased with their wedding and the photos that our team captured. Watching them shed some tears, smile, laugh, and confess their undying love for each other was incredible. Their families watched them in awe, and J&J Studios could tell that this was a perfect match!

We believe that the photos of their wedding ceremony will be cherished by the couple for a lifetime, and our goal was to provide them with physical copies of their wedding memories. They even told us that these photos would be hung around their home, stored in a photo book, given out to family and friends, and shared on social media for the world to see. These two were very proud of their big day and could not wait to start their future together. Congratulations Jessica and Phil! Your wedding was absolutely amazing, and we cannot wait to see what the future holds for you guys! Wedding Details and Decorations at the Ballroom at Ellis Preserve

Jessica and Phil incorporated several wedding details and decorations that made their wedding day their own. It is important to personalize your wedding the way that you would like, so guests can tell it is for your big day and that you put a lot of thought into it. When someone steps into the room, their first instinct should be to know that the event is for you.

J&J Studios believes that our clients should prioritize the wedding details and decorations. A lot of couples think this can wait or that they do not need to put too much thought or effort into it, but we disagree. This is your one big day. Therefore, you should make it resemble your personality, style, and things that you like. When couples decide to pick out decorations and details together, this can tie in their energy and personality as a couple. It becomes a resemblance of your love together and visual representation that your big day is a celebration that had a lot of thought put into it. It also communicates to the guests the joy of you guys being together.

Couples can choose to go simple and traditional or unusual and elaborate. Everything is up to you, but our team recommends to make it worth it because this is your one day to truly shine together. By including your personality and style, the day will be more memorable for years to come. You will also see your guests enjoying every little detail as well as get many compliments. The Reception at the Ballroom at Ellis Preserve

After the wedding ceremony ended, everyone made their way to the reception, which was held at the Ballroom at Ellis Preserve in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. This location is where everyone let loose and had a good time. The new married couple and their loved ones celebrated this milestone together. Phil and Jessica were very happy with how the day turned out, and they had a sense of relief when they made it to the reception and realized that the day was a success.

These two had a lot of hardships due to the Covid-19 pandemic. They planned their entire wedding within four weeks and were ready to get married, but the pandemic hit Philadelphia. They had picked out three different wedding dates, but none of them worked out. This led to Phil and Jessica being engaged for over 18 months. Since they had been together for a long time, they had plenty of time over the years to discuss everything that they wanted for their wedding. They originally wanted a fall wedding. However, with the pandemic prolonging their plans, they knew that when the opportunity presented itself, they would jump on it. They no longer cared what time of year it was because they were eager to tie the knot and spend their lives together. Therefore, they picked a hot summer day to get married and were completely happy with their decision.

The reception was a huge achievement for the couple, as it meant that their dream day finally came true. They were thrilled! When we asked them how they felt about their wedding, they replied that they could not have asked for more. In addition to good food, drinks, cake, and music, the room was also full of pure joy and love.
