Bartram’s Garden

Located in West Philadelphia, Bartram’s Garden is the oldest botanical garden in the United States. Both its barn, which was built in the 1700s and is the oldest of its kind in Philadelphia county, and the gorgeous gardens are available for wedding ceremonies. Host your wedding reception at Bartram’s Garden’s Eastwick Pavilion. Nearby, a granite patio made with stones sourced from downtown Philadelphia’s LOVE Park, a grassy lawn, and the boardwalk by the river are all available for guests to enjoy. Depending on the season, weddings at Bartram’s Garden begin at $2,000 to $3,000.

General Warren Inne

This country inn, located in the Philadelphia suburb of Malvern, PA, was built in 1745. The General Warren boasts four acres and formal gardens, all of which makes for lovely photo backgrounds for your special day. This inn has both indoor and outdoor dining spaces available, as well. With many features included, discounted room rates for wedding guests, and charges for food and drink by consumption, this pre-Revolutionary War venue can be incredibly cost-effective in addition to being a beautiful and historic wedding venue!

Stotesbury Mansion

This Rittenhouse mansion, besides being historic and gorgeous, has some incredibly interesting features to it. First, the mansion was commissioned by Thomas McKean, an original signer of the Declaration of Independence, to be built as a wedding present for his son. The origin of the mansion is not the end of its relevance to American history, either. In the Dolley Madison room, guests can view a fireplace that was once used in the White House. Additionally, the Mirror room, with its maze of mirrors, was used as a means to slow authorities looking for illegal alcohol during Prohibition. Depending on the season and the day of the week, the rate for the Stotesbury Mansion begins at $1,200 and goes to $2,500.

The William Penn Inn

Established in 1714, this inn has boasted hosting travelers such as Pennsylvania founder William Penn over the 300-plus years it has been open. The William Penn Inn is the oldest continuously operated inn in Pennsylvania and sits on ten acres of land. It offers engaged and newly-married couples several options for ceremony locations (including a gazebo), two ballrooms, and a mahogany bar, as well as a private bridal suite. Pricing varies.

Glamorous Philadelphia Area Wedding Venues

If you are a fan of high fashion tuxedos and wedding gowns, chandeliers dripping with crystal, and luxe fabrics, a glamorous wedding might be the perfect style for you. This wedding style gives guests a sense of opulence, so they feel almost as special as you do on your wedding day.

Crystal Tea Room

This Philadelphia wedding venue sits steps from historic City Hall. With huge crystal chandeliers and space for up to 1,200 guests, the Crystal Tea Room is the epitome of luxury. Have cocktail hour in the atrium to enjoy the best of the outdoors without the effects of bad weather before entering your opulent wedding reception in the ballroom. Wedding rates begin at $30,000.

Ballroom at the Ben

The Ballroom at the Ben, located at Chestnut Street in Philadelphia, boasts soaring ceilings and multiple levels, making this wedding venue similar to a grand ballroom in an old castle. Plus, the ballroom dance competition in the movie “Silver Linings Playbook” was filmed here – talk about prestige! The Ballroom at the Ben can play host to up to 385 wedding guests and has been recently renovated. Prices range from $125 to $180 per person.

The Spirit of Philadelphia

For those who love the water but want to feel like royalty, using the Spirit of Philadelphia as the venue for an important day like a wedding day may be the perfect option. Tyler Gardens

Tyler Gardens offers something for everyone – European-inspired landscaping and gardens, sculptures, fountains, and manicured grounds. The rental fee for a wedding ceremony and reception at Tyler Gardens ranges from $2,400 to $4,500. 

Normandy Farm Hotel

Blue Bell, PA is home to the wedding venue Normandy Farm Hotel and Convention Center. This wedding venue dates back to 1700, and scenic grounds surround it. Both of these make it a wonderful place for nature lovers to have their wedding. The rolling fields surrounding this historic venue make for gorgeous wedding photos. Normandy Farm Hotel prices for weddings are typically around $140 per person on a Saturday for a wedding with 125 guests.

Eclectic Philadelphia Area Wedding Venues

Canopy by Hilton Philadelphia

Housed in the Stephen Girard building, Canopy by Hilton Philadelphia is decorated in the Beaux Arts style. This hotel honors Philadelphia’s legacy of creativity using art made by local artists and by blending historic decor elements. The Canopy by Hilton Philadelphia has indoor and outdoor spaces available for weddings and over two hundred rooms to accommodate guests. Wedding rates range from $115 to $175.

MOYO

MOYO is a rustic retreat and a truly unique wedding venue located in Schwenksville, Montgomery County, PA. Wedding receptions at MOYO can also include various classes, including classes on yoga and craft cocktail making, as well as various wellness treatments. MOYO boasts a variety of locations for wedding ceremonies and receptions. These features include a ballroom, yoga studios, two barns, a fire pit, and ceremony pavilion. In addition to these areas, there is a vintage underground barrel room that is reminiscent of the Prohibition era, with its bar and cement walls. The rental fee for a wedding at MOYO is usually $3,400 to $4,900.

New Liberty Distillery

Located in Kensington, this restored carriage house offers multiple floors to newly married couples and their guests. This unique wedding venue has a barrel-aging room, a gift and bottle shop, and a tasting room with a full bar. New Liberty Distillery has room indoors for up to 75 wedding guests, and room for over 100 wedding guests outdoors. Rates are around $152 per person.

Casual Philadelphia Area Wedding Venues

Sometimes, couples don’t want a huge to-do when it comes to their wedding. Lately, micro-weddings are becoming more and more popular, and with that, so has the more casual-style wedding. J & J Studios has a few favorites, which we’ve listed below.

VAUX Studio

This 1,300-square foot Midtown Village venue can host a dozen to two dozen guests. The capacity makes this venue ideal for intimate wedding celebrations. Packages vary, but also tend to cost under $2,000. VAUX Studio recently acquired the space above their venue, to use as the wedding suite for soon-to-be-married couples. Wedding rates begin at $1,795.

Independence Beer Garden

This outdoor wedding location, located in Old City Philadelphia, PA, offers many different areas for hosting weddings. These different areas have capacities ranging from 20 to 150 guests. Independence Beer Garden is both a lovely and a casual wedding venue that can accommodate the needs of different couples. This includes those hosting micro-weddings to those with longer guest lists but who want a more casual vibe on their special day. Pricing for this Philadelphia wedding venue varies.
