The realtors from P.M Realty knew exactly what they wanted in their headshots. Natural, outdoorsy, casual poses that represented the realtor’s personality. These realtors were great to work with, and they were willing to show us samples of the kind of headshots that they liked. But as we found out, these realtors had some great ideas for their headshots. There ended up being something for everyone in our audience.

In the end, we’re thrilled with how each of these headshots came out. The realtors’ photo shoot was a great opportunity to get a variety of styles – working with multiple clients at once made it easy to try different options on the fly. Our favorite part of the day was simply coming up with the best possible approach to each team’s unique needs!

• Look at their portfolio.
  The first thing to do is to check out the photographers’ website. If they have one, that’s great! Headshots are usually a good place to start because it’s more about you than them. You should be able to see samples of their work and get an idea of what they can do for you. The next step is to contact them directly and ask for samples from past clients or references for other photographers who may have worked with them before. If possible, talk to those people directly, and get their feedback on the quality of service that they received from this particular photographer.

• Ask about their process.
  Are they going to come to your location, or do they prefer that you come into their studio? Do they require any special setups? Are there any restrictions on what kind of clothing or accessories you can wear? How long will the session take? What sort of editing will be done? How long is their turnaround time?

• You also want to ensure that the photographer has all the equipment needed for your shoot. This includes lighting equipment, backdrops and props, computers, and software so they can edit photos on-site. Make sure they have everything they need before booking them because it won’t be fun if they show up without it!
