We decided to check out Cherry Street Pier and Rittenhouse Square for their engagement session, and it turned out perfectly. In this article, I will tell you a little about the couple, the locations that they chose, and share some pictures from their session.

About The Two Lovebirds

Jeremy and Christian have been together for quite awhile and were ready to take their relationship to the next level. These two reside in the city of Baltimore but are planning to get married in Philadelphia. Therefore, they wanted to find a Philadelphia engagement photographer. Like every other couple who has experienced hurdles and hardships, Christian and Jeremy have stuck together and come out stronger than ever. They both are ready to take on this new adventure together, and we cannot wait for their wedding day.

Their wedding will take place at the end of April in 2022 at the Artesano Gallery, which is an award-winning wedding venue located in Philadelphia’s Manayunk neighborhood. Cherry Street Pier

Cherry Street Pier is an intriguing mixed-space area on the Delaware River waterfront. This space is open year-round and welcomes restaurants, artists, bars, vendors, and so much more. The goal of this area is to represent Philadelphia’s creative, artistic, diverse, inspired, and historical residents. The operators want to foster connection, a sense of community, and inspire creativity in this one single space. While visiting the Cherry Street Pier, you will be able to see great art exhibits by local artists, enjoy good food and drinks in the market, and catch a wonderful glimpse of the scenery from the outdoor area surrounded by a garden. Everyone is encouraged to join in on the fun that this pier offers.

For our team at J&J Studios, Cherry Street Pier has become an excellent place to capture photos of our clients. It offers amazing murals and a beautiful image of the Delaware River water, which can both be used as backdrops. Our favorite background to use for couples on this pier is the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, a monumental bridge that is significant to the Philadelphia area. It has been open since 1926.

Rittenhouse Square

Rittenhouse Square is the name of a park in Philadelphia as well as the surrounding neighborhood. Most of our couples find Rittenhouse Square as romantic with its beautiful high-rise buildings, luxury apartments, tree-lined streets, and some of the best dining restaurants throughout the whole city. When a client chooses Rittenhouse Square as their photo location, we usually roam around the area but always end up stopping in Rittenhouse Square park for the best photos. Therefore, it was no surprise when Jeremy and Christian wanted to make a stop in the park, and we were able to capture several fantastic shots there.

This park is known for its relaxing atmosphere, where locals and visitors have picnics in the grass, sun bathe, listen to music, watch performers, read a nice book, or simply take a stroll. When walking through Rittenhouse Square, you can quickly feel the historical, peaceful, and romantic qualities that it possesses.
