There are many events that occur where the skills of a professional photographer are desired and required.  We often associate these only with such personal family events such as weddings, engagements, parties, etc.  However, there are professional events that also have a need to be celebrated, recognized, and captured for posterity.  Such was the case recently for the Corporate Ribbon Cutting of DLP event.

DLP Capital was celebrating the opening of a new office in Allentown and wished to “capitalize” (a little play on words here!) on the celebration of the event by securing the talents of one of Philadelphia’s premiere photographers, John Ryan of J&J Studios Philadelphia. John is an award-winning photographer known for his spectacular wedding photography.  However, John’s talents also stretch beyond the wedding scene, as he has captured events such as engagements, new births and christenings, parties, portraits to name a few. And of course, as represented here, a corporate event.

Capturing moments of a corporate event is of course different from some of the events mentioned above.  However while they are different, there still exists some commonality between each of them.  The intention is to capture moments that the participants desire to be memorialized for future enjoyment. They all are intended to mark the happening of an event and the things that occurred during that event. They all capture the chosen participants who are attending the event in order to celebrate what surely will be a grand time for all involved!  The following pictures help to illuminate some of the moments that were captured by the lens of photographer John Ryan.

As you can appreciate, there is a certain amount of formality at an event such as a ribbon cutting. There is initial planning of the event, the physical set-up of the event location, along with the alignment and presentation of guest speakers, all which culminates with the actual cutting of the ribbon! But while the more formal components are addressed, this certainly is not a purely formal event.  Based on an individuals corporate culture, there is also a degree of fun and enjoyment that is mixed in as well. It allows, as the following pictures will show, the involvement of employees as well as their families in the excitement of a new beginning at a new place of business, one which hopefully will bring years of professional as well as personal satisfaction.

As you see, there is a festiveness that comes with such and occasion such as the Corporate Ribbon Cutting of DLP. The intent is to generate as much excitement in the advent of a new facility, such as a new office and the promises of what is hoped to be new opportunities for the company to grow and its employees to prosper as well.  Capturing these aspirations can only be accomplished by having a talented and gifted photographer as John Ryan. John’s keen eye allows him to focus in on key moments as they occur in order to capture the essence of the mood of those moments. His experience and approach utilizing his skills provide excellent tools, applying them in selecting the perfect backdrop, action, subjects, lighting, all factors in producing the quality of pictures that are evident here.
