Downtown Phoenixville, PA is such a beautiful sight to see in the Fall especially during the holiday season. The sun popped out just in time for this session and we spent the entire afternoon shooting with Jessica and Matt. This Downtown Phoenixville engagement session was everything we hoped that it would be and we’re super excited to share the sweet visuals we captured of this lovely couple. 

Jessica & Matt’s Love Story 

Jessica and Matt met through mutual friends about ten years ago. Initially, they were just friends and enjoyed hanging out with their friend group. After realizing just how much they had in common, Jessica and Matt grew closer and closer. “Matt was always there for me. There isn’t a moment where he doesn’t make me laugh and feel safe.”

“ I knew there was something special about Jessica when I first met her. I was actually interested after meeting her, but I played it cool for a while. She is the best thing in my life,” Matt said during the consultation interview. 

The Proposal

Matt proposed to Jessica on their anniversary in January. He surprised her with an intimate dinner party at their favorite restaurant in Philadelphia and invited her close family and friends.  He asked her to marry him after dinner and she immediately said yes.  Jessica often describes Matt’s proposal as the best day of her life. 

Downtown Phoenixville Engagement Session

We met up with Jessica and Matt in Downtown Phoenix mid-afternoon. It was cold outside, but we didn’t let that stop us from having fun with the shoot and exploring the “lay of the land” with the sweet couple. Jessica and Matt were adamant about taking their engagement pictures in Downtown Phoenixville, after all this is where they’ve made so many of their memories, from date nights, hanging out with friends, and countless adventures together. 

We took photographs of Jessica and Matt in front of the infamous Colonial Theater, which has been a hub for entertainment since its construction in 1993. We captured some epic photos of the couple in front of BlueBird Distilling a popular spot in Phoenixville with a beautiful landscape. 

We traversed through the park where the fiery leaves cloaked the grounds proving the perfect backdrop for photos. Jessica and Matt showed their playful side and we also captured a few sweet intimate moments between the couple.
