Matt and Rachel’s Elfreth’s Alley Museum proposal was the next and one of the best pieces to their live story. The proposal was sweet, romantic, and everything that Matt had hoped it would be when he came walking into our office a few months ago for help in photographing one of the most important days of his life. Take a look at how things turned out. 

How Matt and Rachel Met 

Every couple has a love story that starts from the moment they meet. Matt and Alley’s love story began just a few years ago when they introduced each other through mutual friends. Initially, they were both apprehensive because we all know how these types of things we’ll intentionally friend link up go. 

However, it turned out that Alley and Matt had a lot in common and they hit it off great. Matt fell in love with Alley’s genuine and kind nature. They are a match made in heaven.  

Elfreth’s Alley Museum Proposal

Elfreth Alley is a national historic landmark in Philadelphia located in the Old City neighborhood. This historic neighborhood was built between 1720-1830. The Elfreth Alley Museum itself is actually house number 126. The house provides a deeper look into the history of the dressmakers, shoemakers, and other artisans that lived in the house and the history of Alley as a whole during the 18th and early 19th centuries. 

Matt decided to propose to Alley on December 23 at the Elfreth Alley Museum because it was one of the places they first visited when they started dating. The proposal took place right in the middle of the beautiful historic neighborhood. From the surprised look on Rachel’s face once she realized Matt was proposing to the couple’s passionate embrace after she said yes, the J&J Studio team captured every moment of the epic proposal.

After Matt’s proposal, we commemorated the couple’s engagement with a photo shoot. We explored Elfreth Alley with Matt and Rachel. We even took a photograph of the couple in front of the famous red door on Addison Street.  

Shooting with Matt and Rachel was so much fun and it was a privilege to be a part of their special day.
