For Natalie and Karl, this was their second shot at true love. Karl reached out to the J&J Studios team just over a month ago with epic proposal plans. He was so excited to propose to his girlfriend, and he wanted us to document the occasion. It was such a privilege to be a part of Karl and Natalie’s special moments. Check out the visuals we captured during this Epic New Jersey airplane proposal. 

Natalie and Karl A Match Made In Heaven

Natalie and Karl learned of each other through a mutual friend who was also Natalie’s neighbor. She heard that Karl was recently single and thought Natalie would be a great fit for him because they had a lot in common, such as their love for live music. As fate would have it,  Natalie and Karl were both invited to a summer party at a friend’s house in Margate, New Jersey. At the party, they were officially introduced to each other by their mutual friend Dara.  Natalie and Karl spent the entire time talking and getting to know each other. 

Their first date was at Harp and Crown in Philadelphia. Even though Karl ended up spilling his drink on her during an animated conversation, Natalie allowed him to take her out again. Karl fell in love with Natalie’s willingness to join him for any of his adventures. He loves how she always encourages him to take advantage of opportunities with his happiness in mind.

Proposal Planning

Karl spent a couple of weeks meticulously planning his proposal. He wanted the moment to be special. Leading up to the proposal, he put “I heart Natalie” bumper stickers in random locations around  Absecon Island where they lived. They would get calls and texts with pictures of this bumper sticker from their friends and family about these stickers. Little did Natalie know that those stickers were about her. Karl planned a “fake cocktail party” with all of their loved ones which would really be their engagement party.

Karl hired J&J Studios to take their proposal pictures after we were previously hired to produce visuals for his daughter’s bat mitzvah a few weeks earlier.  He was impressed with the photographs and videos our team captured at the event that he hired us to document his surprise proposal.

Epic New Jersey Airplane Proposal

Karl’s proposal to Natalie was epic. He sought an aerial message company to tow his proposal to Natalie on a beautiful banner across the sky. Karl brought Natalie to the designated area after lunch at their favorite restaurant in New Jersey. 

When Natalie saw the message, Karl instantly took out the ring; Natalie started to cry happy tears when she realized what was going on. Karl asked for her hand in marriage, and she quickly agreed. It was such a heart-warming moment. Karl’s proposal was definitely one for the books. After the proposal, we took several romantic photos of the couple. 

After the proposal, Karl planned a small gathering with their close friends and family at home the couple shared. The J&J Studios crew was at the surprise engagement party to capture every moment. Natalie was ecstatic and emotional to see that everyone had been in on the proposal and engagement party. Natalie and Karl were beyond happy to be embraced by their family and friends. We snap photos of them enjoying time with their loved ones.
