Philadelphia Museum of Art and Fairmount Waterworks Engagement

Despite the thirty-degree weather and the snow-covered ground, Jess and Sam’s Philadelphia Museum of Art and Fairmount Waterworks engagement session went wonderfully. The couple arrived full of smiles and excitement, eager to commemorate one of the most important periods of their lives. The two love birds who were actually born just two days apart are indeed one of the most beautiful couples we’ve met this year.

From Childhood Friends to Soulmates
It’s not often we come across couples who were childhood friends. Jessica and Sam met in grade school. Jessica’s parents had transferred her to St. Mary of the Lakes elementary school in New Jersey. Although it wasn’t love at first sight, they began to get to know each other later in the school year. The two ended up becoming good friends.
“ He is my best friend. I love how he can always make me laugh. I love how I just feel at home with him,” Jess says as she described her relationship with Sam. For Sam, Jessica has been his best friend for as long as he could remember. Sam was drawn to Jessica’s caring nature. The fact that she always makes him smile and that he can always count on her when he needs her is what warms his heart.
The Proposal
Coming up with the perfect way to propose to Jessica was very important to him. He wanted the moment to be special and something they would remember forever. Sam proposed on Race Street Pier. They were on a walk to dinner at one of their favorite nearby restaurant. “ He told me that the wait was long for a table and we took a detour to Race Street Pier, “ Jessica says reflecting on the proposal with a smile on her face. When they got to the edge of the pier, Sam popped the big question. The moment was indeed magical.
The couple is far along in the wedding planning process. The encouragement from their friends and family helps them remain positive while planning their nuptials amid a pandemic.
Philadelphia Museum of Art and Fairmount Waterworks Engagement Session
Jessica and Sam choose the Philadelphia Museum of Arts and Fairmount Waterworks for their engagement photo for sentimental reasons. As a little girl, Jessica would take walks with her parents in the area and they always said how it would be a beautiful place to host the wedding. The front of the Art Museum is where the couple celebrated their first Eagles Superbowl win which was an important moment in their relationship.
