It’s pretty safe to say that we’re all a little obsessed with babies. Or, at least, we’re all obsessed with watching them grow up. There’s something so magical about seeing a little person develop into an adult—and we can’t help but want to capture it all!

Lilah is a precious little girl who is turning one this month! J&J Studios decided to celebrate the big day with a mini photoshoot, and we couldn’t have been more excited. When Lilah’s parents contacted us about the shoot, they told us she was a very happy baby who loved getting her picture taken. They also said she loved bath time, so we incorporated it into our session.

The shoot was a blast! Lilah was so sweet and cooperative for us, and we got some amazing shots of her playing in her milk bath with a milk bath, watermelons, and pumpkins. She also had fun splashing around in the water and showing off how much she could swim!

MEET THE LOVELY LILLAH

Lilah was a pleasure to work with; she was relaxed, friendly, and beautiful. This is for two reasons: first, because she’s a lovely little girl with blonde hair, peach-toned skin, and a cute smile that lights up her face; and second because her mom is so easy to talk to. Furthermore, she relaxed, which made Lilah and me relax too.

Lilah came in and got into the tub right away (yay!), but she wasn’t sure about the milk. When we first put her in it she seemed a little startled, but after that, she didn’t seem to mind it. She started splashing around and playing with some watermelon slices and pumpkins. We took some shots of her just playing with these things as well as some close-ups of her face. After all, we have a lot of extra time for portraits when kids are playing about in the water.

The fall mini-sessions with Milk Bath were such a blast! The location we chose this time was so beautiful, serene, and perfect for the season. The venue was just right. It had a great mix of rustic elegance that allowed us to keep the session casual, yet still, feel like true fashion professionals. We were able to take photos in different areas.

There was a spot for every look, too. If you want more outdoorsy photos and a natural feeling, there’s a nice lawn area with grass and trees. We had so much fun being creative and getting creative with the family.
It’s all about capturing that perfect moment and having fun doing it.
