As you can imagine there are many venues that are appropriate to host a special event such as a wedding. They offer a variety of moods and ambiance that can be tailored to the tastes of the couple planning the big day. In this case, the loving couple have chosen a unique environment – a winery. In this case, the choice for Bride Jamie and Groom Kyle was a beautiful vineyard winery that is captured by their choice of photographer, the award-winning John Ryan of the J&J Studios of Philadelphia. With his abilities, and the loving couple to work with, John Ryan has created a memorable tapestry of photographs to make the Folino Estate Wedding of Jamie and Kyle a most memorable event!

HOW FOLINO ESTATE WEDDING VENUE GOT ITS START:

Back in 2000, Rodolfo Folino purchased 54 acres in rural Kutztown on Rt. 78 with hopes of developing the land for homes under his construction company Folino & Sons Construction. After 7 years of spending money and time on a project that clearly was not going to happen due to township and environmental regulations, his only hope was to try and resell the land as farm in order to recoup a portion of the money he had spent. One evening, Rodolfo’s son Marco and his wife Andrea were relaxing and reading when they came across a story of a husband and wife who opened their own winery. They talked about what a fun and exciting venture that would be when a light bulb went off in their heads. The Folino family has a combined 40 years of experience in the restaurant industry, with it all beginning in the early 80s when Rodolfo opened Valentino’s in Kutztown after he and his wife Lidia immigrated here from their hometown in Calabria, Italy. Lidia’s father also had a vineyard in Italy in his early years of life. To bring these two elements of the family history together made perfect sense. They knew opening Folino Estate Vineyard, Winery & Restaurant in Kutztown, where their father originally made his American dream come true, was the perfect way to continue the Folino family legacy.

When they opened Folino Estate Winery, their mission was to make great wine; great wine that not only drinks well alone, but also presents a deepened complexity when accompanied with food. When wine and food are paired well together, it creates a memorable experience like none other. Folino Estate wines are meant to enjoy at your table, gathered around good company.

THE BRIDE GETTING READY:

It’s an important day for all concerned – the friends and family who have been chosen and invited to attend this wonderful day. But of course, the most focal person of the day is none other than the Bride herself. It’s a special preparation for her as she dons her appointed jewelry and gown along with her Bridesmaids prepare for what the rest of the day has in store.

While there are many aspects of the Brides preparation, nothing is more important or will be remembered long after the day is over is the beautiful gown that the Bride has selected for her special day.

While it will be hard to steal attention away from the Bride and her special moments, it’s understandable that someone like this cute little girl simply sharing her lovely face will definitely be big competion!

THE GROOM’S TURN TO GET READY:

It takes two to tango as the old saying goes, and that said, it’s not only the Bride getting ready for the festivities of the day. Her Groom also must take time to get himself together for his part in the day’s events. He, along with his chosen group of Groomsmen, ready themselves as well and support each other as the excitement begins to build around this day’s happenings.

It is a treasured tradition for the Groom and his close friends and family who are part of the Bridal Party to start the day with a toast in the honor of the couple as they ready for the official ceremony making them Man and Wife to begin.

A FATHER’S FIRST LOOK:

It’s always touching but a mixed emotion as a Father looks forward to the day his daughter becomes an adult, but also a bit sad as Daddy’s little girl has grown up and is no longer the little child he raised. This also means she will be embarking on a new life, where although her Dad will always have a special place in her heart, she will be sharing that heart with another special man in her life – her Husband.

Photographer John Ryan captured some special moments with Jamie and her Dad prior to the ceremony as part of the Folino Estate Wedding of Jamie and Kyle. He also managed to showcase parts of the beautiful surroundings of the winery itself.

FORMAL TIME:

While there will be many more casual moments, there is a definite desire to capture some more pointed and posed photographs that while more formal are still an intricate part of the day and build upon the memories they will invoke in years to come.

After all the planning the progression of the day naturally transitions towards the official nuptials of the couple that makes their union official. And what a lovely setting of the outside beauty of the vineyard to hold the ceremony.

With the official preparation and the ceremony joining Jamie and Kyle it’s finally time for them, as well as their close friends and family who have been fortunate enough to be invited to their special day to have some fun, relax, and toast the new couple with speeches, toasts, food, and of course, some dancing.
