Here at J&J Studios, we love celebrating every milestone moment.  It’s hard to believe there are so many seniors this year!  Moms and Dads all over Montgomery County wanted beautiful senior portraits–memorable keepsakes of their child all grown up. The fun part about senior portrait collections from J&J studios is that our style is editorial realism–we will put you in good light and beautiful backgrounds and then just let things happen.  We’ll give slight verbal cues but we want your expressions and reactions to be uniquely you. We take a wide range of portraits during the senior session — from instagrammable cute snaps to epic formal portraits that would do well to grace the walls of your home.

We shoot in the greater Philadelphia area, including Ambler, Blue Bell, Montgomery County, South Jersey, and Wilmington, DE. Our senior sessions start at $450 and include a cart and changing pod as well as a lighting assistant for on-location wardrobe changes. We offer digital products, albums, canvases and metals, as well as ultra-modern acrylics and press books.

Take a look at this senior session of Dena Habboush, a beautiful woman and future pharmacist who graced our cameras last week.

Dena wanted a floral, country background for her pictures so we started scouting locations right away. We narrowed down to two — Maple Acres Farmers Market and Normandy Farm.  We ultimately decided on Normandy Farm but either would have made beautiful backdrops for our session.

J&J Studios has a long tradition of photographing senior portraits, graduation portraits and prom pictures. After a long year of studies and exams, senior portraits are a great way to make photos you will cherish for years to come.  We reached out to Normandy Farm Hotel event coordinator  Joann Nelson in Blue Bell, PA and she graciously allowed us on the grounds for our senior session.

After taking some senior portraits along a beautiful white-washed stone wall, we found some grassy areas to play in.

This was taken with the gorgeous new Sigma 105mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Lens for Sony E a beauty of a lens with tremendous bokeh and color rendering.  Also, tack sharp stopped down just a bit.

We found a beautiful wooden picnic set and had Dena change outfits for a country, rustic look:

During a client’s senior session, we try to capture a variety of emotions from pensive to popular, looking at the camera, and profile pictures. We promise you will come away with a variety of pictures in our brief session.

We also love incorporating motion into our pictures. It’s almost guaranteed to produce a smile. Usually, the cue is, “Ok, just run toward the light and smile!”
