On a warm August evening, J&J Studios made our way to New Hope, Pennsylvania for a HollyHedge Estate wedding. This wedding was gorgeous, and we were happy to be a small part of it. Below, we will tell you all the details and show you the incredible photos we captured of the couple on their wedding day.

Bride’s Preparations for The Wedding

Melissa began getting ready for her big day with the people who are closest to her. Every person who helped her prepare for the wedding was excited for her. As her anticipation continued to grow, she could not wait to see her groom-to-be, Greg. In the meantime, her mother and grandmother spent some special time with her before the wedding. Memories were made, tears were shed, and laughs were shared. Our photographers could feel the joy and readiness among the entire group. The bride and her bridesmaids looked beautiful as they waited for the wedding to begin.

Groom Getting Ready for The Wedding

In another room, the groom was getting ready with his groomsmen. His father and mother stepped in for a few special moments with him, and we are so glad that we were able to capture this moment for him. The groomsmen were having a fun time making jokes, sharing advice, and cheering on Greg as he got ready to meet with his bride. The sun kept shining on this late summer day, and we knew that it would be perfect weather for an evening wedding.

First Look Between the Bride & Groom

Melissa and Greg requested a first look session, which turned out fantastic. We told the groom to turn around and wait for his bride. He could not peek until he felt her touch on his shoulder. As Greg began to hear her footsteps getting closer, we saw a grin begin to form across his face. At last, Melissa tapped him on the shoulder and he could turn around to see her. The moment was magical, and the expressions were authentic. These two were very happy to reunite and see each other for the first time on their wedding day. They both expressed how amazing they thought the other looked. The goal was to spend a few minutes together away from everyone before the wedding ceremony, which they were able to achieve.

J&J Studios recommends setting aside time in your wedding schedule to have a few minutes before the wedding ceremony, whether it is to have a first look, share a note with each other, or to speak a few words. This is one of the most special moments a couple can have on the wedding day, and it is only between you and your partner. Our team was able to capture a few images from this important moment. Then, we stepped away and let them have time to talk and read their important words to each other.

About The Lovely Couple

Melissa and Greg have been together for awhile. These two enjoy spending time together and doing life with one another. They have known that they were ready to make this commitment to each other for some time, so they were on cloud nine when the day had finally arrived. After spending only a short amount of time with this couple, our photographers quickly learned that they make a great match. They often have so much fun together that they forget anyone else is around, and we admire this about them. It is wonderful for our crew when we can follow couples around and capture unposed photos of them. When we see our clients’ faces during the reveal of their wedding photos, they are usually in awe at the ones that are candid.

We loved the historical venue, the gorgeous aesthetics, and the radiating happiness from the guests. The HollyHedge Estate Wedding Ceremony

As you can see, Greg and Melissa’s wedding was stunning. They chose to have it outside in front of one of the most charming buildings at the HollyHedge Estate. There was plenty of room for their friends and loved ones to watch the ceremony, and everyone had a wonderful time. After the ceremony, each person could be heard raving about the beauty of the estate.

HollyHedge Estate is located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, which is less than 45 miles from Philadelphia and 70 miles from New York City. We learned that this venue is family-owned, and the family takes great pride in running everything on their own. They were exceptionally helpful to the couple and their guests, and you could tell that they have done a wonderful job at preserving their 18th century estate.

The team that took care of this HollyHedge Estate wedding have been in business for close to three decades. They treat each couple that walk through their door with care, while dedicating their time to making sure that they have the wedding of their dreams at their location. The staff know and understand that every wedding is unique and has different needs, which is hard to come by these days. The catering team has won awards for their delicious food, the barn gives a gorgeous rustic vibe, and the gardens are unbelievably beautiful. Although the HollyHedge Estate made a perfect summer wedding, we believe it could serve as a spectacular venue in any season of the year.

HollyHedge Estate Wedding Reception

Once the wedding ceremony ended, it was time for Melissa and Greg’s guests to make their way to the reception party. Everyone was ready to get their dance on and celebrate the newly married couple. Fresh food was served, cold drinks were prepared, and the music sounded great. Melissa and Greg shared a first dance, and everyone watched and clapped for them. They looked great together! Afterwards, the guests made their way to the dancefloor and started having a blast. The bride and groom were finally able to exhale, let loose, and enjoy their celebration together. They were very pleased with how everything turned out and would not change anything about their amazing day.
