Inn at Penn Wedding: Sarah & Adrian
Sarah and Adrian contacted J&J Studios awhile back in search of a photographer to document their Inn at Penn Wedding in Philadelphia. We were thrilled to jump at this opportunity, as the leaves would be beautiful changing colors, the air would be crisp, and we knew that the day would be nothing short of magical. All of these things came true, and we could not be more happy with the photographs we captured that day. Throughout this article, I will share with you some of the images from Sarah and Adrian’s big day, tell you about the Inn at Penn, and give you all the details of this phenomenal day.
Start the Day by Getting Ready at The Inn at Penn
The bride and groom began getting ready with their closest friends, which is always the best way to start your wedding day. These are the people who you want to share this perfect moment with, and we could tell that Adrian and his friends as well as Sarah and her friends were having the best time. Memories, laughs, jokes, and words of wisdom were all shared. Our photographers could tell that these two groups meant a lot to each other and were ecstatic for the couple and their new journey.
Sarah and Adrian chose to have their reception at the Inn at Penn, which is a Hilton Hotel in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They were able to start getting ready at the hotel in their personal suites, which made everything convenient because everyone was coming right back to the hotel after the marriage ceremony. J&J Studios enjoyed going room to room, capturing the photos of the bride and groom separately and watching the anticipation rise among them.
If you would like to book the Inn at Penn Hotel for your wedding or to get ready for your big day, you can contact the front office by calling (215) 222-0200 or visiting in person at 3600 Sansom Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19104.
Sarah and Adrian’s First Look
The bride and groom were anxious to see each other for the first time on their wedding day. However, once the time came, they were filled with calmness and happiness. Adrian waited for Sarah patiently as she walked towards him. He could not see her, but he knew that she was on her way. This moment is usually described as one of the best moments of the wedding day because couples are finally reunited and get to see each other dressed up. It also means that you are getting closer to becoming married with your partner.
When Adrian and Sarah’s eyes met, they could not hold back the smiles as well as the tears. It was one of the most emotional moments as well as happiest moments of their lives. Adrian thought Sarah looked beautiful, and Sarah thought Adrian looked so handsome. They have waited for this moment for a long time and were so glad that it was finally here.
J&J Studios recommends having a first look with your partner because we are able to capture your authentic reactions to seeing each other for the first time on your wedding day. This is a very important moment that you can treasure for a lifetime. It is usually spent in private away from everyone else, and families and friends enjoy looking at these pictures when you are ready to share them. Each photo shows how much you two truly love each other and could not wait to spend the rest of your lives together. This is when you realize every second you spent waiting was more than worth it!
A Love Story in the Making for Over a Decade
Sarah and Adrian have been together for more than a decade and have been talking about making things official for awhile. The couple met right outside of Chicago while completing their PhDs in Biochemistry at Northwestern University. After many years of getting to know each other and falling deeper in love, they found themselves planning their special day during a pandemic, which caused some challenges. However, after spending over five years of their relationship long distance due to Adrian returning to the East Coast, they knew there was nothing that could stand in their way or stop them from marrying. Their wedding might have been delayed for over 18 months, but it turned out to be everything that they could have ever imagined.
When our team met these two, we instantly knew that they were meant for each other. The love and joy they share is amazing, and we see nothing but good things happening for them. One of our favorite parts about this couple was their ability to get lost in each other’s presence; it was like the rest of the world disappeared. These moments made for excellent candid photos! If you are not sure what candid photos are, they are photos of unplanned moments where there is no posing. The couple typically just walks around, talks, laughs, makes jokes, acts silly, or anything else that feels natural. The idea is for them to act completely normal, and these two lovebirds had no problem doing that.
J&J Studios wants to congratulate Sarah and Adrian on their wedding day! Our crew thanks you for the support and kindness that you showed us. We wish you both the best, and we cannot wait to see what life has in store for you guys next!
Marriage Ceremony at St. Agatha’s Church
Adrian and Sarah chose to get married at St. Agatha-St. James Church, which was a couple blocks away from the Inn at Penn. In fact, the church was located less than a 5-minute walk from the reception. This was fantastic news to our team, as it meant more time for shooting! The guests were pleased with this short trek as well.
Once we arrived to St. Agatha’s Church, we could see why the couple would select this church to get married. Its beauty was absolutely mesmerizing! The lighting and architecture were stunning, and we believe that our photos introduced that well.
Sarah and Adrian vowed to spend their life together, exchanged rings, and sealed their marriage with a kiss. Everything was gorgeous, and we could tell that the crowd watching was also impressed. These two were happy with how their marriage ceremony turned out, and you could see them both beaming with joy afterwards.
If you would like to see St. Agatha-St. James Church, you can visit 3728 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19104 or call (267) 787-5000.
Vendors
Adrian and Sarah are very grateful for their vendors. As a matter of fact, they do not feel like the wedding would have turned out as great as it did without the companies that assisted them every step of the way. Every vendor was accommodating to the fact that the couple had to reschedule their wedding day twice! Therefore, we wanted to give each of their selected vendors a shout out below. Decorations and Details
Sarah and Adrian’s wedding details were epic and really represented their relationship well according to their friends and families. Since they are both scientists, they wanted to incorporate science into their wedding decorations somehow. The research project that brought them together was based on different metal elements, so they placed small signs around the room that stated a different metal type, such as silver, copper, magnesium, and more. Everyone enjoyed going around and looking at the signs, the cards, and the decorations. It may have taken the couple extra time to pick out personalized decorations, but it was well worth it!
As you can see, every little piece of decoration is important on your wedding day. It does not matter the size of the detail, even the small things can make a huge impact on your special day. The reason for this is because they represent you and your spouse. Guests will remember your wedding by the details that you chose and will most likely be talking about it for months afterwards! The Knot has provided a handy list of details that you should not forget for your wedding day, which you can check out by clicking here.
Inn at Penn Reception
The Inn at Penn Reception turned out to be outstanding! If you are on the fence about celebrating your wedding at a hotel, Sarah and Adrian’s wedding should instantly change your mind. The staff was amazing and had everything ready for the bride and groom as well as their guests upon their arrival from the marriage ceremony. Depending on the size that you need, there are a variety of banquets and rooms to choose from at the Inn at Penn. The couple went with the Woodlands Ballroom, which is over 4,000 square feet and can hold up to 400 guests!
