KIMBERTON HEADSHOT PHOTOGRAPHY: JENNY
Kimberton Headshot Photography
Jenny was a little nervous when she came into J&J Studios for a headshot photography session.
In addition to our extensive experience in the field, we were happy to walk her through a session that would bring out her best qualities. This was such a valuable step for ensuring she felt confident in front of the camera. We knew that if she felt beautiful and comfortable during her headshot session, she’d be able to relax and show off her natural energy in front of our camera. And we were right, the final results were amazing. You can see them on our website now!
With more of these professional headshots in hand, Jenny feels like her professional life is just starting to take off. She’s excited to share these shots with everyone in her network, and she’s looking forward to soon adding a few new pictures to the mix as well.
KIMBERTON HEADSHOT PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION WITH JENNY
When Jenny called to book a headshot session with us, she was looking for something different. She wanted to look as natural as possible, and she wanted the focus to be on her, not her headshot.
We started the session by focusing on Jenny’s eyes, which is the most important part of a headshot. Her goal in this photo was to showcase what she does and where she goes, so we decided to shoot against a dark background while using our black seamless backdrop. That way, we could make her appear as though she was in any location, such as an office or at a conference. We shot both close-up and full-body shots, as well as up-close shots of Jenny’s face so that when she prints out her photos for business cards or brochures. She’ll have images that are more flattering than the standard headshot.
WHY IS A HEADSHOT IMPORTANT FOR MY NETWORKING PORTFOLIO
The headshot is one of the most important elements in your networking portfolio. It’s the first thing people see, and it sets the tone for what they will see next.
In addition to being an important marketing tool, a good headshot can also help you get hired for jobs. Here are some reasons why every professional should have a headshot in their business portfolio:
- A headshot is the first thing employers see when they look at your resume or LinkedIn profile. If your photo doesn’t grab their attention, it could be a deal-breaker.
- It’s the first thing potential clients see when researching you online, which means it needs to reflect professionalism and trustworthiness.
- A good headshot provides credibility and shows that you take yourself seriously as a professional.
- A good headshot makes you stand out among other applicants because it shows that you put effort into your appearance. This is something many job seekers don’t consider important enough to do well on their initiative (which means they may not be great employees either!).
