Maya and Avinash’s Levering Mill Tribute House Wedding was full of that quintessential traditional Indian charm. Walking into Maya and Avinash’s Indian wedding was an experience, unlike anything I had ever seen. The wedding had such a feel of elegance and grace; it was as if we were walking into a portal to another world. An epic occasion packed with hope, love, and family for the celebrations of the bride-to-be.

Levering Mill Tribute House is a wedding venue that offers southern sophistication and all the benefits of a perfect wedding venue. Levering Mill Tribute House features a centerpiece courtyard with garden views, a handsomely appointed ballroom with 2,200 square feet of reception space, hardwood floors, and a historic facade reminiscent of classic brick buildings in the 1920s.

A classy wedding set with a splash of culture. We captured the love and laughter of Maya & Avinash. The couple was so excited to be at their wedding that it made us want to soak up every moment with them. With bright, colorful details inspired by the couple’s Indian heritage, the day was full of joy and happiness.

The couple’s dynamic personalities energized the day, with fun-loving photo ops to reflect their playful nature. Not only was the entire wedding beautiful, but they also had an awesome dance party with their guests. We couldn’t have asked for more!

GETTING THE PARTY STARTED

​A beautiful morning that needed to be captured perfectly. Luckily for us, our talented photographers were able to elicit the joy, community, and love of the wedding–and most importantly the bride and groom! Our photo crews came early to make notes on all of the intricate details (from flowers to bridesmaids’ earrings) so they could catch them in pictures.

The morning of Maya and Avinash’s wedding was filled with vibrant, romantic energy.

As soon as our photo crew arrived at the hotel, there was a tremendous amount of enthusiasm radiating from both Maya and Avinash and their families and friends. Levering Mill Tribute House could not have been a better backdrop for their destination-inspired day. We took formal shots of the couple and their friends and family members, as well as candid moments. We also photographed details such as dresses, invitations, flowers, jewelry, and more to get a full view of this gorgeous celebration. Maya and her bridesmaids were fantastic, sassy, and completely stunning.

LEVERING MILL TRIBUTE HOUSE WEDDING CEREMONY

From the ceremony to the reception, Maya and Avinash’s wedding was a traditional Indian affair celebrated with family, Bollywood music, and colorful decor. Guests wore traditional Indian wedding attire, while the bride’s colorful lehenga matched with her groom’s dusty sherwani. Family members played an integral role in the ceremony, helping the bride get into her outfit, putting on her jewelry.

The wedding rituals that the couple performed were the Saptapadi (the exchange of seven steps); Vivah sanskar (couple’s formal entry into the mandap, followed by the groom breaking a coconut amidst prayers), Mangal sutra dharani (tying sacred threads around the wrists of bride and groom). During this ritual, the pandit would chant mantras, offer prayers to Saraswati, the goddess of learning; Lakshmi, goddess of prosperity; Ganesha, god of good beginnings; and Kartikeya god of auspiciousness.

COCKTAIL HOUR AT LEVERING MILL TRIBUTE HOUSE

A wedding toast celebrating your marriage is one of the most memorable parts of the day. There was an elegance unique to cocktail hours—not the kind that’s stiff or stuffy, but the variety with its sense of style. This familiar comfort was most prominent at LeVering Mill. It’s an ambiance with a warm appeal where guests were able to freely mingle, explore, and enjoy this special time before the after-party began.

The cocktail hour followed the wedding ceremony. Guests milled about, chatted with friends, and caught up with the bride and groom! Then, people lined up to take pictures against a beautiful backdrop that was decorated just for the occasion.

LEVERING MILL TRIBUTE HOUSE WEDDING RECEPTION

Maya and Avinash’s wedding reception was a grand affair. A total of 100 guests attended Maya and Avinash’s reception at the wedding reception hall. The couple changed outfits twice during the ceremony, offering a taste of tradition to their modern South Asian celebration. In addition to the bride’s well-fitting black and gold shalwar kameez ensemble and the groom’s dashing black and gold sherwani suit, other highlights included a dance performance by the couple and scarves weighing down the chairs as the groomsmen and bridesmaids took their seats.

The guests were blown away by the delicious Indian food, accompanied by lively music and dancing, at Maya and Avinash’s wedding reception. Beautiful Indian decorations evoked the couple’s ethnic heritage, helping us to better display their personalities.

The couple chose a beautiful venue with elegant decor and a buffet dinner of different foods including, spicy Indian dishes and desserts. The Levering Mill Tribute House hosted the reception and provided the catering. The energy in the crowd was overflowing and thus, it was impossible to not get involved with the fun! Each guest got a chance on the dance floor to show off their moves.

DECORATIONS AT THE LEVERING MILL TRIBUTE HOUSE WEDDING RECEPTION

The decorations were probably the most impressive part of the reception. Maya and Avinash included their style, selecting blue and gold accents throughout the space. The reception was decorated in rustic, romantic blue and gold motifs. The bright, oversize blooms drew the eye upward. With many different flowers, cascading down the centerpiece, and tabletops completely encrusted with blue and gold decor, as a result, the wedding was a sight to behold.

WINDING UP THE WEDDING AT THE LEVERING MILL TRIBUTE HOUSE

Maya and Avinash created a romantic glow-capade lighting ceremony to remember. The open-air lobby of The Levering Mill Tribute House was transformed into a colorful glow-capade that especially included complimentary glow sticks, strands of lights.

As the memorable evening drew to a close, the guests joined Maya and Avinash beneath glowing sticks. A steady beam signaled that it was time to toss the sticks into the air. Amidst the fairytale setting, wedding party members threw their glowing sticks, rose petals, and rice as a result creating trails of twinkling colors across the luminous sky.
