This summer J&J Studios had the honor of photographing Shannon and Lloyd’s gorgeous Loews Philadelphia Hotel Wedding in the middle of the city. To say the least, this wedding was epic and we cannot wait to share with you the photos, the details, and the vendors that made everything possible. Let’s dive into this awesome day!
Bride Getting Ready for The Wedding
On a hot summer day in July, Shannon began getting ready with her bridesmaids in a suite at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel. While surrounded by the gorgeous views of Center City Philly, the bride and her best friends put on their dresses, jewelry, makeup, and shoes. They shared stories, laughs, and advice with each other. We could feel the love and support in the room, and the bride was glowing with happiness.
Groom Preparing for The Wedding
The groom and groomsmen were also getting ready in another suite at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel. They made toasts to the big day, shared words of wisdom, and laughed at each other’s jokes. Our photographers could tell that these guys were excited and happy for Lloyd and his bride-to-be, and they could not wait to watch them embark on the journey of marriage together. 
First Look Between the Bride and Groom
Shannon knew that she always wanted a first look, so she immediately let our crew know. A first look is when the married couple see each other for the first time on their wedding day. This occurs before the wedding, and the bride and groom spend a few private moments together. During this time, they see each other dressed up and have a special conversation before the ceremony starts.

About The Couple: Shannon and Lloyd’s Story
After spending time with Shannon and Lloyd, our team learned that they met in June 2018 on Tinder. All it took was one magical swipe between the two, and they have been inseparable since. Lloyd quickly realized that Shannon was the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with, so he began searching for a ring. Once he purchased and received the ring, he became so excited to give it to her.
One day when Shannon wasn’t feeling well and had been in her pajamas all day, the thought came to Lloyd to ask her to marry him. He did not care how she looked or where they were, he knew that he was ready to make a commitment to her in that moment. So, he got down on one knee and asked the most important question of his life. Of course, Shannon said yes, and the two started wedding planning immediately. Congratulations to the happy couple! We are so happy for you guys and cannot wait to see what’s in store for you both next!

Shannon and Lloyd’s advice for other people getting married is to remember that it is ultimately your day and your chance to shine. They mention that your wedding day will go by so fast that there is no reason to worry or be upset by other people’s nonsense. Just have fun and focus on you and your partner that day! They also said to make sure you get a wedding planner because it will take a big load off your plate. You may think you can handle everything on your own, but Shannon and Lloyd described their wedding planner as a true life saver!

Loews Philadelphia Hotel Wedding Reception
Once the wedding ceremony ended, everyone made their way to the reception area of the hotel. Cold drinks were served, wonderful music played, and delicious food and desserts were eaten. The bride and groom had their first dance, which was a special moment where you can see the two smiling and laughing. Afterwards, Shannon danced with her father and Lloyd danced with his mother.
Each guest had a great time celebrating Shannon and Lloyd, and the staff at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel made sure everyone had everything they needed and wanted. All the workers went above and beyond to help the bride, groom, and their guests. It truly was a fantastic evening in the sky, partying and dancing with the newly weds! Before the night ended, J&J Studios looked around the room and could see the support, friendship, and love that everyone had for the couple, and we could not have asked for a more welcoming group of people to spend our day with!
