There’s lots of love in the air this holiday season and we’re enjoying every moment of it. We met Lisa and Erick a few months ago. They reached out to the J&J Studios team for help commemorating this unique season in their life and getting epic couples photographs. Lisa and Erick’s Longwood Christmas session was a beautiful experience. Check out some of the stunning visuals we captured during this shoot. 

Lisa and Erick’s Love Story

Lisa and Erick were introduced to each other through mutual friends during a fun night out at Barcocina, a popular bar in Maryland, Baltimore. They spent the evening talking, laughing, and knocking back beers. “It was one of the best nights I ever had,” Lisa remarked with a smile on her face. “ I instantly fell in love with his big, welcoming friendly smile.”

The Proposal

Erick proposed to Lisa on a dock in Fells Point, Baltimore. He told Lisa that he had made reservations for brunch. Instead, he took her down by the docks, got down on one knee, and asked for her hand in marriage near the beautiful body of water. 

Lisa and Erick have already started the wedding planning process. The couple is aiming for late winter or early spring wedding in 2022. They recently did a food tasting with Finely Catering one of the biggest caterers in town. They’ll be meeting with vendors very soon.

Longwood Christmas Session

Lisa and Erick were super excited to take their engagement pictures. They wanted to get creative and have a nice variety of photographs that they could showcase. It was also very important to them that they take their pictures in beautiful locations as they planned on using these visuals for Christmas cards. 

Longwood Gardens in Chester County, PA was the perfect place for Lisa and Erick’s engagement photos. There are over 9,000 stunning plant varieties in Longwood Gardens. Since we shoot here often we knew all of the best spots with great lighting for breath-taking visuals. 

We met up with Lisa and Erick midafternoon on the day of their session. While the sun was still high in the sky we explored every nook and cranny of Longwood Gardens which is a magical place during the holiday season. We captured all of their sweet intimate moments. 

Some of our personal favorite visuals from this session are at nightfall. There’s something special about Longwood Gardens at nighttime it’s as if the garden comes alive. Lisa and Erick look like royalty in these epic photos. For the most part, everything about this session was perfect.
