Christmas in Philadelphia is one of the most magical places on earth and there’s nothing more heartwarming than being able to capture a couple’s unconditional love with one another during such a special time. Lauren and Kai’s Longwood Gardens Christmas engagement session were a beautiful experience just as much as it was romantic. Lauren and Kai’s Love Story

Every couple has a love story and for Lauren and Kai’s their story began about five years ago when they met on Instagram. “We both commented on the same post and Kai ended up clicking on my profile and he said he liked what he saw. Kai jumped and my dms and we started talking every day.” 

Lauren and Kai’s internet love affair quickly moved to real life when they went on their first date almost a month after connecting on social media. What Kai loves most about his bride-to-be is that she is very empathetic, caring, and always sees the good in others. Lauren fell in love with Kai’s sense of humor, which always lifts her up.

Lauren and Kai have already started the wedding planning process and are excited about their upcoming nuptials.

The Proposal 

Kai popped the big question at the Philadelphia Flower Show in June. Towards the end of their visit, they went to the pavilion where their were beautiful cascading flowers everywhere. Inside the pavilion, Kai told Lauren how much he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her and then asked for her hand in marriage.

Longwood Gardens Christmas Engagement

Longwood Gardens was the perfect place for Kai and Lauren’s engagement session. Longwood gardens located in Chester County is one of the largest gardens in Pennsylvania with over 9000 different species and varieties of plants filling up over 1000 acres of land. This botanical garden is known for its breath-taking meadows and picturesque landscapes. Longwood Gardens come alive during Christmas and we love when we get a chance to photograph couples at the Longwood Gardens during this special time. 

This was the ideal location for their engagement session because the couple wanted to incorporate the romantic and joyous feel of being surrounded by flowers for our engagement to a winter atmosphere. There is nothing more joyous right now than the holiday season.

We met up with Lauren and Kai early in the afternoon so we could capture the lovely couple under the sunlight. Lauren and Kai were ready in their fall wear. We explored the garden with the sweet couple as they exchanged smiles, kisses, and long loving stares. We stayed until nightfall. We couldn’t miss a chance to photograph them as the sun began to set and it was a beautiful sight to see.
