Longwood Gardens Engagement Session

Dinah and Corey’s Longwood Gardens Engagement session took place on a beautiful afternoon in June. The lovely couple had contacted us a little over a month ago to take photographs of them to commemorate this special time in their lives. The Longwood Gardens was the perfect place for this shoot. The flowers were blooming and we had the area all to ourselves.
Dinah and Corey Met……..
Dinah and Corey met in church. They were members of the same church in Philadelphia. For months at different times, they attempted to initiate contact with each other. For some reason, they never got the chance to officially meet and talk. That is until Corey slipped into Dinah’s DMs on Instagram. Ever since Corey’s first message, the couple has been joined at the hip. Fast forward a couple of years later after enjoying millions of laughs, scary movie nights, star-gazing sessions, and pizza by the lake they’ve decided to get married.
Dinah describes her soon-to-be husband as her real-life hero. As the most supportive person in her life, he takes the hardest things that she’s struggling with and helps her weather the storm. Whether it’s chopping up vegetables for dinner or coming to rescue her on a four-lane hour with a flat tire, Corey is always ready to step up and come to her aid.
Corey’s Proposal
Corey planned an epic proposal in Dinah’s parent’s backyard under a canopy of lights. The proposal was a reenactment of a scene from a screenplay Dinah wrote. Although Corey had never read the screenplay Dinah talked about this scene quite frequently. In the middle of the setup, Dinah realized what was going on. Corey proposed and Dinah immediately said yes.
Dinah and Corey have already begun the wedding planning process. Like most couples, planning a wedding during a pandemic is extremely challenging. Fortunately, they have the support of family and friends. The couple is confident that their special day will be absolutely amazing.
Longwood Gardens Engagement
Dinah stumbled upon our work after Googling “Philadelphia engagement picture inspiration”. Blown away by our work, the couple wanted to recreate a few of the previous visuals we produced with a personal twist. The photos from this shoot came out beautiful despite the last-minute wardrobe changes and the torrential rainstorm that took place a few hours before our scheduled shoot.
The goal was to make Dinah and Corey feel and look spectacular. Of course, romance was the theme so we took several snapshots of Dinah and Corey enveloping each other in a loving embrace. Dinah loved the dark and dramatic vibes from our catalog so we made sure we recaptured this look during this session.
We explored Longwood Gardens for over an hour, snapping pictures of the couple in some of the most scenic areas in the garden. We even got the epic waterfall shot which was breathtaking. In this shoot, the camera captured a glimpse of the different sides of Dinah and Corey.
At the end of the session, Dinah and Corey let us know how much they enjoyed working with our team. They were stunned by the visuals we captured for their engagement shoot.
