LOVE Park Engagement Session

Kristen and Shawn are a wonderful couple who are deeply in love. J & J Studios was so honored to capture the photos of their LOVE Park engagement session. We hope you love them, too!
Meet the Couple: Shawn and Kristen
Kristen and Shawn share a modern love story. They met on Match.com, and after meeting for the first time, say that they “have been inseparable ever since.” Over time, they also figured out that they have been near one another in different areas at the same time throughout their lives. We’re so glad that they finally ended up finding each other!

When we asked Shawn and Kristen for some fun facts about them, they told J & J Studios, “We love pizza! We sometimes make up our own pizza tours and hop around our area to different pizza places. Then we rate which is best.”

This adventurous couple also owns two dogs. However, the fun fact is that the dogs are both low-content wolf dogs, and one of them is related to one of the direwolves on Game of Thrones!

We asked Kristen and Shawn what they love most about one another, and they said, “There are a million little things that we love about each other.” They called themselves best friends and partners, as well as citing their being deeply in love. “It doesn’t matter what we are doing, we always have the time of our lives together.”

The Proposal
One night, after enjoying a nice dinner out, Kristen and Shawn came home to a trail of roses, petals, candles, and lights. They led to a lit sign that read, “Marry Me.” Of course, Kristen said yes!

The LOVE Park Engagement Session
LOVE Park has another name – the John F. Kennedy Plaza. The LOVE statue that gives this park its name was made by American artist Robert Indiana, and has resided in the park for the most part continuously since 1976.

LOVE Park also serves as the entrance to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. It’s the Benjamin Franklin Parkway that allows visitors and locals alike to travel between locations like City Hall and the Barnes Foundation, the Franklin Institute, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Naturally, we had to get a gorgeous shot of this lovely couple by the iconic Robert Indiana LOVE sign that gives this park its name!

Just look at Kristen’s ring! The large center diamond is on a white gold band set with smaller channel diamonds. It’s a modern, yet classic look that we’re sure she’ll always treasure!

We always love to see when a couple is deeply in love during their engagement photo shoot. This LOVE Park engagement session is no exception! If you observe the way Shawn and Kristen look at each other, you’ll see their love for one another all over their faces.

Philadelphia City Hall
Some of Kristen and Shawn’s photos were also taken at the nearby Philadelphia City Hall.

This beautiful building is the largest municipal building in the United States. It’s topped with a statue of the founder of the city, William Penn.

Additionally, this 548 foot tall tower is the tallest masonry structure in the world without a steel frame! It was the tallest building in Philadelphia until 1987, too.

Congratulations, Kristen and Shawn!
J & J Studios loved taking these engagement photos of Kristen and Shawn! We wish you both the best in your upcoming marriage and life together.
