Maternity Photos at Hunting Hill Mansion | Chelsea + Eric

Chelsea + Eric shared some beautiful Maternity Photos at Hunting Hill Mansion on a brisk autumn day in mid-November. We originally met these lovebirds at Zach+Cara’s wedding and we were tickled pink when they reached out to us to see if we could photograph their maternity session. The sun was high in the sky when we started the session, but the trees were so tall we were able to get dramatic golden hour light streaming into the images.

I saw a random patch of leaves as we walked to a 2nd location and I said, hold up guys, do some cute shit here. They happily obliged.
This particular image below would look great as a canvas or piece of wall art.
As we neared the end of the shoot and the sunset in the distance, I thought it would be great to showcase the abilities of the Sony Alpha cameras. This image was shot at f/1.6 on a 35mm lens at 1/16,000s. Most cameras only go to 1/8000s, but pushing the camera to its limit allowed us to have a beautiful milky bokeh background with ultra contrasty sky, bright highlights (without blowing them) and beautiful shadows created by the silhouette.
