Normandy Farm Micro Wedding
After months of planning, Michael and Rachel said they’re “I Dos” in an intimate yet beautiful ceremony at the Normandy Farm Hotel. The outdoor wedding ceremony took place on a sunny after on the picturesque landscape of the Blue Bell, Pennsylvania venue. From the stunning floral arrangements to the soft pink and navy blue bridal party color scheme, every intricate detail of this wedding was on point. We had a great time documenting this Normandy Farm micro wedding. Check out the visuals we captured for the newlyweds.
Rachel and Michael’s Love Journey
Rachel and Michael didn’t believe in love at first sight until they met each other a little over five years ago at a New Year’s Eve party hosted by a mutual friend. “We clicked instantly. He had me laughing the entire evening and I never felt so comfortable and at peace in someone’s presence like I did with Michael,” Rachel said during the consultation interview with a smile that spread from ear to ear.
Michael describes his bride as the sweetest person that he’s ever met. “She has a heart of gold. Rachel brought so much love into my life and I’m grateful for her,” Michael remarked. During their spare time, Michael and Rachel enjoy long hikes and binge-watching movies.
Michael’s Romantic Proposal
Michael proposed to Rachel three days after their anniversary. He wanted the proposal to be a surprise and thought proposing on their anniversary was too cliche. Michael took Rachel on a spontaneous weekend getaway to a beautiful cabin in the Poconos decorated with candles, flowers, and a delicious dinner that a friend had prepared. Michael popped the big question twenty minutes into dinner, and Rachel immediately said yes.
Rachel and Michael spent a year planning their wedding. Due to COVID-19 restrictions and the health of their loved ones, they decided to significantly scale the wedding down and host a micro wedding with just their closest family and friends in attendance.
Normandy Farm Micro Wedding
As the name suggests, the Normandy Farm Hotel and Conference Center is rustic, scenic farmland known for its enchanting surroundings. This historic wedding venue dates back to 1700. The restored barns, beautiful stables, and silos provide a vintage and rural experience for couples that decide to tie the knot on the majestic rural land.
Our team arrived early to capture portraits of the bride and groom. We took advantage of the open space and every scenic area. We got some epic snapshots of the lovely couple inside of the hotel’s lobby. The ceremony took place outdoors which was great because there was lots of natural light that cast a warm glow on the bride and groom.
After the ceremony, we took several photos of the bridal party, the bride and groom’s family. Everyone was filled with joy and excitement that was evident through the photographs.
Michael and Rachel’s couple’s portraits were amazing. Since we were a little short on time we primarily focused on capturing the bride and groom’s blissfully post-wedding glow. These visuals were so romantic.
