Imagine it – a couple has finally reached the point where they have reached the point in their relationship where they have decided the time is right to declare their love and fulfill their commitment to each other by moving beyond engagement and planning the next step – their wedding.  This is even more poignant when the couple is part of the LGBTQ+ community.  It has not been that long in many states where that dream has finally come to a reality for this community, and who better for the couples to seek out to capture such a special event on film than soliciting the talents of one of LGBTQ+’s Favorite Wedding Vendors – John Ryan of J&J Studios of Philadelphia.

As I mentioned earlier, the legal right to marry has only come to light in recent years.  As of last count, there are 37 of our 50 States that recognized gay marriage.  The states that do not recognize gay marriage are:  Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Texas. However, there is no need to dwell on these exceptions as work continues to help move forward into having ALL states recognize the rights of the LGBTQ+ community, and providing them with the legal recognition to enjoy and cherish this sacred covenant between two loving individuals regardless of their sexual orientation.

But back to weddings, and back to one of the LGBTQ+’s favorite wedding vendors, John Ryan.  John and his team at J&J Studios have well established themselves as a not only an award-winning photography studio but as a vocal supporter of the LGBTQ+ community.  John’s sensitivity to the needs of a couple seeking out his talents to capture their special moments is refreshing.  He provides total trust to all the couples he contracts with in order to partner with them harmoniously to achieve the most relevant and beautiful results.

In many cases, John’s relationship with a couple begins at the start of their official journey, the Engagement.  This is when a couple realizes the love and commitment they have for one another and decide the time has come to make it a reality in an official way.  The engagement signals the beginning of the road for the committed couple, and the love of that has brought these two individuals together to this point in time.

As you can see, these couples are excited, happy, and having memorable moments of fun as they work with John in a variety of settings that suit them and their special moments so well.  But now we move to the big event – the weddings!  John and his team truly excel here and it’s no wonder John has become of the the LGBTQ’s favorite wedding vendors.  The beauty of the couples and the love they have for each other are uniquely captured in the following photos.  This takes skill, passion, and understanding of the subjects and where John shows his aware-winning expertise –
