For most families, this holiday season will be much different from previous years. This year’s challenges didn’t stop the Fisher family from getting into the true holiday spirit. In dire need of updated family portraits, Nicole reached out to us a couple of months ago to schedule a Christmas themed shoot for her growing family. This is the best time of the year to capture love and joy in a beautiful Philadelphia in-home family portraits session. Here’s how it went.
Meet the Fishers
Nicole and her husband are parents to three beautiful children. the twin boys hold a special place in their heart because they are the first borns. However, it was their gorgeous little girl who completely stole the show last year when Nicole gave birth to her last year. “We feel beyond blessed to have our little ones. They are happy and healthy,” the lovely couple proudly remarked during their session.
Philadelphia In-Home Family Portraits Session
The holidays are a time for drawing closer to our loved ones and celebrate the family unit. That’s why Nicole was adamant about having professional portraits of her family taken. Due to COVID-19, the couple requested an in-home session so that they didn’t have to travel with their children.
The J&J Studios team arrived a half-hour before the scheduled session to set up the equipment for this shoot. The visual concept for this session was an all-white Christmas theme so we chose a warm white backdrop which we set up in the Fisher’s living room. Of course, the shot wasn’t complete without a great lighting scheme. We used a variety of angled lighting sources which deepened the shadows for high-quality portraits.
For this session, the entire family was styled in all-white outfits that matched perfectly with the backdrop. Our main goal was to showcase the love and joy that this beautiful family effortlessly exuded. The shoot commenced with a classic photograph of the family together. This session was lots of fun, the family wore big smiles and shared several moments of laughter which were captured on camera.
Some of the most heart-warming visuals from this set was the photo of the Fisher’s twins giving their mom a sweet kiss on the cheek. Another one of our personal favorites is the photo of the twins embracing each other. Of course, we couldn’t leave without taking a few couple photos of Nicole and her husband. Oftentimes, working with children can be a challenge, but the Fisher children were absolute troopers. The Fisher’s loved the visuals we produced during this in-home portrait session.
