Philadelphia Museum of Art Engagement Session

Sharyn and Kyle’s Philadelphia Museum of Art engagement session was absolutely epic. This lovely couple was adamant about shooting in the evening as the sunset. Our team was able to produce stunning nighttime visuals that added an extra dash of romance and mystery. Sharyn and Kyle were naturals in front of the camera which made our job much easier.
College Sweethearts To Lifetime Lovers
Sharyn and Kyle met in college. They both attended the University of Philadelphia and were introduced through mutual friends during their sophomore year. They were friends for an entire year before they decided to enter a romantic relationship. The two have been stuck together ever since.
“ Kyle is my best friend. He is the first person I go to when I’m happy or when I’m sad. We know each other so well and we genuinely enjoy being with each other all the time, “ Sharyn remarked as she described their relationship.
Kyle Pops The Big Question
After five years of a beautiful relationship, Kyle decided to pop the big question earlier this year on their anniversary. Although they had been talking about marriage, Sharyn wasn’t expecting him to propose just yet. After their anniversary dinner at one of their favorite restaurants, Kyle and Sharyn strolled to Love Park where he had gathered all of their close friends and family. He asked Sharyn to marry him right in front of the iconic Love statue and she immediately said yes. They both described their engagement as the best day of their life.
Philadelphia Museum of Art Engagement Session
Kyle and Sharyn decided to host their engagement shoot at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The bride-to-be was dressed in a white angelic-like gown while her fiance wore a blue suit that matched his eyes.
Although we have shot numerous couples at the Philly museum it’s been some time since we’ve scheduled a shoot at this location at night. While shooting at night comes with unique challenges, there’s something magical about nighttime photography. Lighting was essential during this shoot which is why we bought alone artificial lighting sources to provide additional illumination.
We took as many pictures as we could before sundown. One of our favorite shots was of the lovely couple embracing over the calm body of water. From the sweet intimate kisses to the warm embraces we were able to truly capture Kyle and Sharyn’s love for one another. We changed locations a few times throughout the shoot to add some versatility to the visuals.
