

When the weather outside is frightening, sometimes it makes sense to do family portraits in the studio. Studio portraits hold the distinct advantage of the client being able to wear whatever outfit he/she wants and have portraits on any day and time. It could be storming outside, but we’ll be fine in studio. Studio portraits also make sense if you work odd hours and it is difficult to get time off to do portraits during daylight hours.
During the shoot, the kids got antsy, so we gave them some candy and got some cute pictures of mom and dad.
Once the kids finished their candy, we got dad to put on their favorite song and they started to strut their stuff around the studio.
After we wore the kids out, it was time for a whole group shot. 50 Frames later and frenetically shaking a baby rattle in front of the camera, we got this:
One thing we like to do with family pictures is break down into different groupings so everyone has a turn. This helps tired children rest from the photoshoot and gives clients options when printing their pictures.
