When Juliette and Vahan approached us at J&J Studios, we were excited to do their Wedding photoshoot at The Vie By Cescaphe. We have been working in the wedding industry for a while now and have already done some amazing work. But this Wedding photoshoot was going to be special. For starters, it was taking place at an amazing venue: The Vie By Cescaphe. The Vie By Cescaphe is a beautiful combination of sophistication and elegance, and with its proximity to Philadelphia, we knew we could come up with some great shots.

This was also going to be a destination Wedding, so the couple had a much shorter time frame than usual to plan everything. Having worked on destination weddings before, we knew that it can be stressful for the couple planning everything from afar, but also a lot of fun! We had the opportunity to do some really unique shots that would add to the story of their day; we wanted to capture some candid moments as well as their romantic portraits. We wanted to show that their love is alive, exciting, and passionate just like their wedding day was! After all, those are the images they will cherish for years to come.

MEET THE COUPLE: JULIETTE & VAHAN

Juliette and Vahan were the perfect couples to work with during their wedding photoshoot. With a love for travel, adventure, and spending time outdoors, it was easy to see why they would do anything to incorporate all of these elements into their special day.

As soon as we arrived at the couples’ venue and started chatting with Juliette and Vahan, I could tell that they were going to be an absolute joy to work with. They both had such a great sense of style and taste. They coordinated their outfits! Not only did they dress the part, but they also did everything they could to ensure their wedding was filled with the things they love. Their passion for life really came across through our conversations about their hobbies and interests.

PREPARATIONS FOR THE DAY

The day of the wedding was getting closer, and we knew some photojournalistic shots of Juliette getting ready with her bridesmaids would be really important to the story. We arranged a time that worked best for everyone and arrived at Juliette’s house just as she was about to get dressed. The other team was with Vahan while he was getting ready with his groomsmen at Loews Philadelphia Hotel.

We first took some detailed shots of Juliette in her dress with the ladies around her. These would be good for lots of details on the dress itself. Furthermore, giving a sense of how Juliette felt in her gown.

We took detailed shots of the groom and his groomsmen as well since they were wearing different dresses. Once they were together we took individual shots of both the bride and groom before joining for more group photos. Then we took some family portrait shots before heading over to the church.

ST. GREGORY ARMENIAN APOSTOLIC CHURCH WEDDING CEREMONY

Juliette and Vahan’s wedding ceremony was held at St. Gregory Armenian Apostolic Church. Here, they exchanged vows before their family, friends, and the community.
The church’s serene, quiet inner courtyard with its lavish array of flowers and foliage was the perfect setting for their intimate group of guests. The décor was tasteful and elegant, and the feeling was one of calmness, happiness, and love.

As the ceremony began, it was clear that Juliette and Vahan had been waiting all day to finally see one another. In a moment that will likely be remembered by many as one of the most beautiful moments of their lives. Juliette walked down the aisle to meet her groom dressed in a stunning strapless lace gown while carrying a bouquet of white roses in her hand. When they first saw each other everything else faded away as they embraced in an emotional hug.

Juliette and Vahan were surrounded by family and friends who supported them through all of life’s joys and sorrows throughout the years. Therefore, it only seemed fitting to share this special moment with them at their wedding ceremony. Their guests were moved by the couple’s happy tears as they pledged their love for one another before God at this emotional yet joyful celebration.
After the ceremony, everyone enjoyed a delicious dinner at the Vie By Cescaphe. It was a beautiful day!

ART MUSEUM, S BROAD, AND SANSOM PHOTOSHOOT

After the beautiful ceremony, the sun began to set, and we took advantage of the light for a few minutes. We decided to head to the Art Museum, S. Broad St., and Sansom Street for a bridal shoot. This part of town is full of colorful detail that adds a lot of character to any photo. We shot on the street amongst people who were out enjoying their Saturday, and had so much fun with it!

VIE BY CESCAPHE WEDDING RECEPTION

The bride and groom’s wedding reception took place at Vie By Cescaphe. It is an elegant and stylish venue in the heart of NYC. The details were carefully crafted by Juliette and Vahan to reflect their personalities. These included a custom-made menu with a variety of classic Armenian dishes, an intimate first dance as well as speeches by family members that were as entertaining as they were heartfelt. Juliette and Vahan’s wedding: was classy but elegant; creative but subtle; luxe yet casual; and everything else in between.

The cake cutting had its own set of events. The couple had their first piece, followed by another slice for their parents, and then everyone else to enjoy together.

Every event has its own unique energy, and this one was no different. As soon as the dancing began, it became clear that this wasn’t just going to be any party. It was going to be a celebration! Something was exciting about everyone being so happy. Especially because most of the guests had known each other for such a long time. The night ended with a bang as guests danced long into the night.
