Washington Crossing Park Engagement | Karen & Peter

J & J Studios is thrilled to share the photos from Karen and Peter’s Washington Crossing Park engagement photography session. Washington Crossing Park is not only a gorgeous location full of mature trees and restored Colonial buildings, though. The park is also historic, so it’s the perfect backdrop for Peter and Karen’s engagement photography session, as they begin creating their own shared history.

The Engagement Photography Location: Washington Crossing Park

Philadelphia and its surrounding areas all played essential roles in U.S. history. School children all over the country learn about the Revolutionary War and how American colonists won their independence from the British.

Present-day Washington Crossing Park is where General George Washington crossed the Delaware River to march on troops at Trenton, New Jersey. Early on Boxing Day 1776, the rebels launched a surprise attack on Hessian mercenaries enjoying Christmas festivities. The American victory revived revolutionary morale, ultimately leading to independence.

The Couple: Peter and Karen

Every couple is different, in a myriad of ways. Some are more openly verbally or physically affectionate, while others are constantly goofing off and laughing. It’s always a joy to see the ways that couples show and express their love for one another.

When it comes to Karen and Peter, their comfort with each other is evident in every photo. No matter what pose they’re in, they just “fit” together.

Karen and Peter also seem like they cannot get close enough to each other. More than their comfort, they also appear to enjoy physical contact with one another a great deal.

They’re so in love that it shows in their touch and how they “fit” perfectly together. We’re sure they’re so excited to get married!

The Engagement Ring

Karen’s white gold engagement ring strikes the perfect balance between classic and trendy. Emerald-cut gems, especially diamonds, have become incredibly popular in the past few years. The loveliest thing about choosing an emerald cut is its beautiful lines. The clean lines of an emerald cut keep it elegant and classic, whether the trend has passed or not.

You may notice that the band of Karen’s engagement ring is unique. The style is called a “stardust” band. A stardust ring band gets its name from its textured appearance. Rather than a more traditional smooth or hammered texture, a stardust ring has a pebbled texture. A stardust band maximizes reflected light, creating an appearance similar to a starry night sky.

Congratulations, Karen and Peter!
