Distinguished Gentlemen’s Ride 2024
There are many wonderful fund raising initiatives throughout the world and in this case within the United States. Each provides support and both financially as well as mentally to those the efforts are dedicated towards. Such is the case of the Distinguished Gentlemen’s Ride 2024.
The Distinguished Gentlemen’s Ride unites classic and vintage styled motorcycle riders from all over the world to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer research and men’s health. The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride was founded in Sydney, Australia, by Mark Hawwa. It was inspired by a photo of TV Show Mad Men’s Don Draper astride a classic motorcycle and wearing his finest suit. Mark decided a themed ride would be a great way of connecting niche motorcycle enthusiasts and communities while raising funds to support the men in our lives. Funds raised by the Distinguished Gentlemen’s Ride are invested into prostate cancer and men’s mental health initiatives around the world through their official charity partner, Movember. Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men’s health on a global scale. Since partnering with Movember in 2016, The Distinguished Gentlemen’s Ride are invested over AUD $35 million into cutting-edge research into prostate cancer and treatments, initiatives that improve quality of life for men living with the disease and innovative men’s mental health projects. In the United State alone during 2024 this group sponsored over 192 rides spread across the nation consisting of 14,820 riders who raised a total of $2,545,801 that went to towards the global efforts of this committed entity.
There is a great group of avid bikers who commit themselves to this annual event. The photographs below capture some of that fun and excitement that is part and parcel for this event.
